Proper usage of coolant is essential for enhanced tool life. We recommend a ratio of 6% for oil to water for mild steels and non-ferrous metals, and a ratio of 10-12% for stainless steels or high nickel steels. The oil to water ratio is measured by refractometer and can be checked through the eye piece.
